There used to be a Toyo Hilsen and a Waterford Hilsen side-by-side at MSL, 
they were slightly different shades of each other.

Yeah, it's not quite pearlescent, but it has a little bit of variation and 
sheen to it in different conditions, if that makes any sense at all. I was 
(pleasantly) surprised as well.

Yeah I just asked via instagram. Like Bill mentioned, it seems the color is 
a lighter blue than when the frames were made by Toyo.

The lighter blue has stayed the same since they brought production into the 
US. I assumed that the blue was a flat light blue, but it seems to get 
different tints with different lighting. Very cool!

Digital photos have vastly improved in quality and convenience, but it 
seems I'm always wanting more!

Will's bike (Waterford) is definitely a different shade than the Toyo 
Hilsen that I used to have.  Call Will up and ask him what Waterford calls 
the color.  I know he's there today.  Mine was a 58 (650B)
