Does the 174 take bar end shifters?

Also check out simworks to smile, marcella, or wonderer bars if you haven't
picked up a bar yet. All shortish reach shallow/ish drop bars. All nitto made.
I had the chance to meet with some of the simworks crew at golden saddle
cyclery in LA, super cool people worth supporting. I was informed the name was
originally sHim works. Like the little pieces of metal you use to make
different size bars and stems work together harmoniously. But the owner
dislikes four letter names and hence sIm works it became. Just thought I'd
share that little factoid. Really seems like they are trying to put alot of
thought into everything they do much like Riv.

Mod174 is the same "shape" as the noodle (sweeping back to you) just wish
shrunken proportions of reach and drop.

1. Which one has flatter ramps and lines up better with the Shimano BLR400
levers like you can do on a Noodle? Mod174/Fairweather Allroad or M151F?
2. Which one is more like a Noodle?

2016-08-30 Thread John M
Thanks Irving. I sent you a PM as well.

Those 151s look like they have a nice shape, but almost no flare at the
drops. I'd love to find a bar with the flat ramps of the Noodle, compact
dimensions and some flare at the drops. The Salsa Cowbell fits the bill,
but is strictly 31.8 clamp diameter.

2016-08-29 Thread Irving
Hey John,

I have a set of Nitto Mod174 bars. They are very similar to Noodles but the
shorter reach/drop plays very nicely with modern levers with long ramps. PM
me if you're interested, as I may be selling a set.

The Nitto M151F
 is
available in the US and is similar if you wanted a short reach/shallow drop
bar.
