Thanks for the tire info...I'm thinking about doing the 2.2 FasTraks on my 
upcoming Clem build.  I've got some old touring wheels that I can probably 
get it rolling with but what I really want to do is lace some of the new 
Velocity Cliffhangers (30mm, tubeless, rim brake!) to some prototype Silver 
hubs I have.

I think he just took the two bikes that the Appaloosa was said to be a mix 
of, and put famous probably in Riv's own reference to how well those two 
models sell. Maybe just wording??

IMO the porteur rack is far too versatile a rack to limit to only one way 
of use. Ride it bare for those chance days you find a small Weber grill on 
the road or want to pick up a case of beer after a ride. I strap my tent 
and sleeping bag and whatever other large/odd shaped things on it for 
camping. Get a giant basket and attach it with mini-bungees for grocery 
runs or picnics. A waterproof rack bag is essential for rainy days or 
running lots of errands and not wanting to leave things in a basket. Keep 
no way permanent and get the best of all worlds
