[RBW] Re: Cleaning Newbaums Bar Tape
Och! Disregard my advice then. I had to look up those words. I'm still (gingerly) scratching my head. [RBW] Re: Cleaning Newbaums Bar Tape
Sorry, yes, I applied shellac. I'm not opposed to a bit of grime and sweat on the tape; but if there happens to be an easy way to make it look a bit more presentable, then I'd be grateful for any hints. Many thanks, Kevin On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 5:21:13 AM UTC-4, Kevin Lindsey wrote: Anyone have a good method for cleaning sweat and other stains off Newbaums bar tape? Beausage! I no longer treat my Newbaums and really like the way it wears sweat, dirt, and grime and still solid, soft, and grippy without being cushioned. Of course, you could replace it, but that would be throwing away thousands of miles of beausage. Grin. Thanks, Kevin I spray a little Woolite carpet cleaner and sponge off the grunge. I'm okay with a little beausage, but not on the bars. It just looks grungy IMHO. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. [RBW] Re: Cleaning Newbaums Bar Tape
I've got some h'bars that have 5+ years of beausage the h'bars with barely 2 months of usage just ain't the same. A li'l shellac some time they'll be great. Enjoy the sweat goop that accumulates (just a humble suggestion) change when you change the bars, not a moment sooner! Do you apply shellac to your tape? On Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 5:21:13 AM UTC-4, Kevin Lindsey wrote: Anyone have a good method for cleaning sweat and other stains off Newbaums bar tape?
