I originally picked up a set of the Continentals from Riv, called 42s but 
measure out at 37; a good tire, tho' (but the dickens to mount).  The other 
day, when Jan had the sale, I picked up a Kenda that's a 44, that I haven't 
tried yet, but also a pair of Hutchinsons in 42, that look more promising than 
the Kendas...  But, I have a hunch there's more on the way...

Wow that's serious clearance.That setup looks awesome.  Regarding 
streetable tires fatter than hetres, I highly recommend the schwalbe 
'fatty' tires that Rivendell sells.. great tires.
