2024-06-16 Thread George Schick
That great looking bike is just my size and if I didn't already have too
many bikes I'd take a stab at purchasing it. I'm at the point, though like
Rich, where I need to be considering getting rid of some of my bikes, not
acquiring more. Oh, and I agree with some other commenters - I'd have to
change the bars and stem to a road (drop) configuration, get new brake
levers accordingly, and move to DT shifting.

The Nitto bar bag bracket is a very neat and compact design; I had one long
ago with an early-Rivendell-sold boxy bar bag that, I think but am not
completely certain, was made by Carradice. That bar bag plus the bracket
for $100 is a good deal.

[RBW] Re: FS - MUSA shorts, knickers, BrandV Grabsack, Timbuk2 messenger bag - PRICE DROP

2024-06-02 Thread Cyclofiend Jim
Prices still include shipping to lower 48

MUSA Knickers - original style grey - Size Large
20" (ish) inseam. Gusseted crotch design. Elastic waist belt.
Definite saddle wear and some weird stain from when I leaned against some
greasy bits in the shed. Reflectors on back of legs have seen better days
and are definitely worn off in places. Worn. Used. But still have some
miles left in them. Was $35 - now $25

Brand V "Grabsack" style bag - OSFA
Shoulder bag under the original "Brand V" tag with wooden flap locks. Very
similar to the current Grabsack style back with a main dump area and nylon
divider to separate stuff in the back. I used this lightly for a while, but
it's been flat in the closet for a few years now. Heavy duck cotton which
shows a little sheen here and there. There are probably a few stains I
didn't notice, but it's in pretty dang good shape. Was $65 - now $45

Timbuk2 Messenger bag - Laptop/roller luggage compatible.
This was the last messenger bag I ever bought and while I did slap a "Just
Ride" fabric sticker on it, I didn't really use this one in anger. It's got
some hours on it, but not worn or torn. I just hate to not be using this,
but I've got two others which I reach for (and a small third one as well),
so this doesn't get used. It has a padded laptop section, and a slot for
stacking on a rollaway luggage handle. Heavy duty nylon. Rubberized base.
Large clips.
Lots of nooks and crannies to zipper in things. Was $85 - now $65

Prices include USPS shipping within the contiguous 48 states. No fee paypal
or venmo, or mail me a check.

I'm attaching a single image of each, but there are many more full size
images in the link below.

Re: [RBW] Re: FS: Bedrock Mountain Clogs Leather Size 13

2024-05-31 Thread Kevin M
Man, I bought some Chaco suede ToeCoop clogs off eBay last week and they
are awesome. For those who balk at the Bedrock price tag and need the extra
width and arch support they are a great option. Unfortunately, they are no
longer made so eBay is probably the only option.

2024-05-30 Thread Mike Ullmer
I don't have Bedrock Sandals. I wear Luna Sandals in a size 10.5. I
initially went with a size 13 in the Bedrocks thinking I would be wearing
them with thick socks, but in reality only use thin socks. The footbed of
the 12s is perfect for me.

2024-05-30 Thread Brian Forsee
Tim/Michael,

Do you guys also have bedrock sandals? Did you size up on the clog compared
to the sandal? I wear the 12M sandal, but have a little bit of room on the
footbed. If they made half sizes a 11.5 would probably be spot on for me. I
don't think my sandals are the new EVO, they are from 2017 (re-sole club!).

I was really excited about the clogs but was bummed when i found out they
were not US manufactured and never ended up buying a pair.

[RBW] Re: FS: spring cleaning!

2024-05-28 Thread Calvin Yolo
*Forgot to update some stuff. Below is what's still available and sold!
Reduced some prices.*

Available
*Paul Shimano Thumbies, Silver, 22.2 — $85*
*Shimano Dura Ace 11spd bar end shifters — $85*
*Velocity A23 rims, Silver, 700/32h/NMSW — $100*

   - Purchased in 2012 and sat around ever since, was told it was built and
then unbuilt. Looks basically new to my eyes but will ask Rich to
   double-check if there's any interest.

*SOLD - 52cm Nitto Noodle (Mod. 177) - 26.0 — $90*

   - Mounted for a week or so, then taken off. Basically new but there's
residue from the standard newbaum/shellac combo here at Riv.

*SOLD - Panaracer GravelKing Slick, BROWNwall, folding 700x38 — $80*

   - Used for one 25 mile ride.

*SOLD - Thomson Elite Setback, Black/27.2/330mm — $45*

   - Looked like a well-used post before I got it. Used for 250-ish miles
   with no issues.

*SOLD - Brooks C17 Carved — $80*

[RBW] Re: FS: Yet Another Garage Sale

2024-05-27 Thread Collin A
White Industries BB sold...I might have some more parts soon courtesy of
another move - stuff like dura ace brakes, paul canti brakes, ultegra
groupsets, RH tires, etc. so keep an eye out

   - XTR M900 cantilever brakes, 1 bike's worth: These are a bit of a
catch-and-release from a fellow list member. I rode them around on the
appaloosa commuter and they worked great, but the Paul Cantis I have worked
a bit better (or, to say it another way, I was able to set them up for
better braking). Fantastic condition. *Asking for $120 shipped*, or best
offer. Pivots cleaned and lubed with T-9. New kool stop salmon pads.
Original pads included in case you want 30 year old rim brake pads...

   - Wolftooth 110 bcd 42t narrow-wide. About 100 commute miles on these.
   *$40*

   - Ultegra 10 speed 114 link chain, new except for some block miles.
Waxed with silca chain wax if that's your thing. *$40* (I can include 2,
10 speed quick links for another $5 to help with resuse during hot-pot
   waxing).
   - Ultegra 10 speed 114 link chain, about 100 commute miles on this guy.
Used T-9 chain lube on this one. *$25*

Hope folks are enjoying their holiday weekend,
Collin in Berktown (soon back to oaktown)

[RBW] Re: FS: Albacore handlebars, Paul thumbie mount, VO Grand Cru levers, Profile and VO quill stems, tires

2024-05-16 Thread Miles Payton
Update on items.
The following are still available, shipping not included:
*Profile stainless stem*, 135mm reach, 26mm clamp, 1" quill. No bolt cap,
but I whittled a wine cork into a little plug and that worked great and you
can do that too: $20
*Velo Orange faceplate quill stem, black, 31.8mm mount, 100mm (maybe 90?)
length: *$70
*Schwalbe Thunder Burt tires*, 29x2.2", moderate use, one of them has side
knobs snipped to fit between narrow rear stays: $40/pair
*Terravail Cannonball tire*: 700x35, light use, tanwall and tubeless. $30.
*Salsa Woodchipper 2 handlebars*, very well-used, black, 46cm width: $20

These things have been sold:
*Lekker Leks Albacore

 handlebars*,
light patina: $100
*Paul thumbie mount (right)*: $30
*Velo Orange Grand Cru brake levers*, silver (one barrel adjuster is bent,
but works fine and threads in almost all the way): $40
