This Clem has been a great commuter but I’ve decided to go back to a
bike with thru axles for hauling my daughter in her trailer. I have some
cheaper wheels and might take off the racks if it there isn’t any interest
but thought I’d list it as is for now. I had the bike powder coated a
beautiful whiskey bronze before this past winter (he was able to do a
 great
job on the accent color). The lower tube shows wear from the cable lock
 but
no real scratches or chips that are through the powder. It needs a deeper
clean that I will do before letting it go, otherwise the bike is in great
 shape!

 I believe it is a 2018 but could be a 19.

SimWorks Standalone rims with SON28 front hub/WI MI5 rear (very little
 use)
 Rene Herse Fleecer Ridge tires
 60cm Tosco bars
 135mm FacePlater stem
 Riv Silver shifters (Riv-ersed)
Deore brakes with Kool Stop dual compound pads
 Cheap SunRace brake levers
 SRAM 10sp GX derailleur
Silver cranks 38/24 White Industries bolts with Blue Lug brass
 extractors
 Shimano XT cassette 11-34
 MKS bear trap pedals
Brooks B17 (well used but still good shape overall)
Pass and Stow 5 rail front rack with wall 137 basket (a scrape on front
of the rack and basket has some bends to it)
 Nitto R-14 rear rack
 Forager cable cherries
Top of seatpost clamp and bolt assembly replaced with Nitto ones
 because stock kept slipping
 MKS fenders

The fork was replaced with a new Hunq for when I had it painted. The
stock fork was just slightly off but it bugged me. The bonus is that the
new for has mounts for a low rider rack!

Let me know if you have any questions or want more pictures. Thank for
 looking!

Frame is sold! Very happy to have it go to a list member and a former Clem
owner. I know it will be appreciated and enjoyed.

I will follow up on the other bits after I evaluate whether there are any
swaps I want to make with my remaining bikes. . .

John — that looks great! I am curious about your bag support. I think I
have that same one but it never seemed to fit. Even on yours, it comes so
close to the wheel. I think that’s why it landed in my to be sold bin. Mine
did not come with the additional supports in the rear. Do you have a link
to it or picture so I can see how it works more clearly? (Am I allowed to
derail my own conversation?  )

[RBW] Re: FS: Clem H 59cm Complete (Custom Build)

2023-01-19 Thread J G
Really nice build on this!

Suntour XC Pro cranks are some of the all time greats and you have it with
about the best generation of XT. Specifically a Hyperdrive-C compatible FD
that along with the similar LX version (m563) is the best match for most
smaller chainring (large ring 42-46t range) double and triple drivetrains.

2023-01-19 Thread Daniel
Update: I was shooting from the hip on pricing the other day and I think
bundling the shipping in isn't fair to the buyer or me. I've decided to
drop the price to $1500 for the bike and then shipping is 100% on the
buyer. I think this is fairer and more transparent.

I hope this makes it more appealing to ya.

Art,

The bus racks didn’t fit my Clem. I haven’t had a chance yet to use the
King County light rail, or trains in this region, so I don’t know about
those. I have a couple of pictures of it on a “practice rack.” I’ll post
them here later tonight.

Sorry, cmrngetty -- the frame is sold pending payment/pickup to a
list-member local to the PNW. However, to answer your question about fit,
Riv recommends
a PBH range of 89-97 cm here -->
https://web.archive.org/web/20200928024522/https://www.rivbike.com/pages/pubic-bone-height-how-to-measure-your-pbh

Also, wow, I've had nothing but trouble with Google's notification system

P.S. Once the sale goes through, I will most likely make a separate FS post

2018-08-19 Thread Tom Wyland
Joe,

So this is a little off topic, but this mustard color is really popular
this fall. I have two teen daughters and every store they shopped in last
night has this color featured. So now my 13-year old has Vans the same
color as your bike.

Hey, there's an idea! But I never do that, I get terribly nervous at RBW and
usually talk myself out of going. I'm such a weirdo.

Keep it and ride like crazy until the MTB comes out. Also go test ride the

Brother, 'bike hoarder' is definitely the issue here. I keep selling

if the riv Mtb comes in a year you have plenty of time to save, no? and
keep the clem H and ride the heck out of it, then get the MTB and keep both
- that's what I would do. but im a bike hoarder.

I tell ya, Ryan, it's a fine madness. Probably what happens is I keep this and
ride the crap out of it for a year, then maybe sell as a good used bike after I
get the Riv Mountain. I'm almost positive this is a better idea!

2018-07-31 Thread Ryan M.
Nice bike! Man, it’s too bad I’m in the same boat and waiting on the new Riv
MTB to be released or I would be jumping on this. I finally have my Santa Cruz
up for sale so if that gets sold I might be able, but I’m in a holding pattern.
Good luck with the sale.
