I have a cx70 that could move along if you need. Comes with shins to 28.6

Thanks for all the feedback y'all. Joe, we have our local swap Sunday so if I
don't find a cx70 or something cool I'll let you know.

The thing about the CX70 is the cage shape is exactly matched to the 48T
large ring.

[RBW] Re: Front Derailleur Recommendation for Roadini Build

2019-02-08 Thread Joe Bernard
The CX70 is nice, but really just about any double fd that'll fit your seattube
will work with that shifter and cranks. That's one of the great things about a
Riv-style drivetrain, you don't have to go through all the matchy-matchy
gymnastics just to get a chain across two dang rings.

As I can attest with my recent attempt to make a Tiagra derailer shift Sugino
cranks with an old XTR shifter, friction is way easier to work with up front.
(Solution: I ended up using a Suntour GPX road fd, which sort of works).

Yeah I'm going to run a XD2 as a double. I have a black set of arms laying
around and a few 110 BCD single rings. I was debating running a similar
gearing setup as your 48x34. Seems perfect with a wide range 10 speed
cassette.

To clarify, it will be an Dura Ace bar con friction setup.
