*3M*™ Plastic Emblem And Trim Adhesive 03601 is an exceptional choice for
repairing and attaching plastic, vinyl and metal. It is a clear *adhesive*
which is strong, quick-drying and can be used for bonding plastic or metal
emblems. I have used it for 45 years with exceptional results.

[RBW] Re: Glue for headbadge?

2018-10-23 Thread Marc Irwin
I recently used Gorilla Glue gel super glue. It seems to be just fine. It
brushes on and holds place very well. I've used automotive accessory tape
in the past but that is thick and leaves a visual gap between the badge and
the tube.

Some clear silicone adhesive sealant like Permatex RTV works well and is easily
removable with some floss. Apply enough that is oozes from the sides and wipe
the excess with a finger around the edges. No more gaps !

[RBW] Re: Glue for headbadge?

2018-10-22 Thread Kainalu V.
Use some silcone, or shoe goo, whatever you've got around. And if you're
not wanting to make a mess, mask off the edges with blue painters tape
first, blob in the glue, press it so it oozes out the edge a bit, wipe the
ooze clear, then peel the tape for a clean edge (while the glue's still
liquid)
Good Luck!

I read that too but that gap between the frame and badge is bugging me.
Also I'm worried about it flying off eventually. Easiest fix seems to
shoot some glue in there.
