@CM We used Neubaum cloth tape, which happens to have a very sticky adhesive, and wrapped it as usual. At the end (or rather the center) we then took a little bit of what was left over and used it like you would a piece of tape – did I mention it is really sticky stuff? To top it off, the whole thing got a coat of clear shellac. Bryan On Sep 30, 12:51 am, cm chrispmur...@hotmail.com wrote: I love the look of this bike. Wow, that looks great. It appears you used the longer SKS fenders with Berthoud stays? I have a pair in my basement and just need to decide what bike I want to put them on. I'm surprised they're not more widely available. --mike -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. We used Neubaum cloth tape, which happens to have a very sticky adhesive, and wrapped it as usual. I actually dislike using that tape for that reason. It is very difficult to install IMO because it wants to twist and stick to itself and getting it spaced evenly was a big issue for me. I much prefer the Japanese tape which is amazing stuff. What sucks is that the Neubaum comes in great colors. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. I've noticed that the newbaums also seems to be fading a lot faster than the japanese tape. I'm not sure _why_ yet but it seems to be the case. It's not terrible - but I like the deep-eggplant color and now it's more like a lilac shade on top of the bars. -sv -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. @Mike, Actually, those are an early edition VO fenders. They are kinda flat across the top and had a wide profile; I hand polished them to a bright shine. One small correction: As you might have noticed, the bike has Nitto Moustache bars, not Albatross. I guess I was too mesmerized by the second toptube to jot down the information correctly. re. neubaums tape, I used it on a 3 month tour recently and it held up extremely well, color-fast too (color is green). It was a bit trickier to put on than japanese stuff, but once it's installed it's good. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group.
