You've inspired me! Today's ride will include Dixie Mountain, a nice gravel backroad that climbs up out of Scappoose, OR up to Skyline Blvd and then drop back into Portland. I've only ever done it a few times. Here's some pictures from Fall 2yrs ago. http://www.flickr.com/photos/41335...@n00/sets/72157608457479476/ Since we'll be going at a leisurely pace today I'll probably get some photos. --mike -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group. Thanks for sharing these photos - they inspire me to get out and find an unpaved road! Like Robert, I wonder what part of the country they were taken. Reminds me of central Virginia or North Carolina... On Jan 2, 11:15 am, robert zeidler zeidler.rob...@gmail.com wrote: Where were these taken? Looks New England-y but w/o the snow. Great ride report! Love your writing, scenery and especially your creamsicle Hillborne. It reminds me of Club Fed behind my mom's house in northern Santa Barbara County. The prisoners run a dairy farm. It has pine trees because it's borders Los Padres Nat'l forest. Your ride inspired me to check out that area on bike. I've only hiked it before. Thanks for the gorgeous pics. Ness -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups RBW Owners Bunch group.
