Re: [RBW] Re: SKS LongBoard Question
Yeah, I had to use the shortly flap when I mounted the P45 front behind the crown with the fender nut. Not so with the P50 Longboards. They are a much better fit for the 650b IMO. I just wish they would make them in creme. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group. Re: [RBW] Re: SKS LongBoard Question
Jim- I had the same problem on my Riv Road conversion (650x38b), so I swapped out the long front mudflap for the shorty flap Riv sells. A pair of scissors will take care of that long front flap problem :) Of course now I'm running P50 chromaplastics without the flap and well we'll see how it that goes On Tue, Jan 13, 2015 at 8:35 PM, Jim Bronson wrote: > The P45s are really a little too long for my bike with 650Bx38, when I > tried to bolt them in on the back side of the fork with Sheldon nuts, the > flap was dragging all over the place. Re: [RBW] Re: SKS LongBoard Question
The P45s are really a little too long for my bike with 650Bx38, when I tried to bolt them in on the back side of the fork with Sheldon nuts, the flap was dragging all over the place. I moved it back to the front side of the fork. If the P50s are a little shorter, I'd probably like that. Some trimming on the front of the rear fender would probably be required to get it between the seat stays, though. [RBW] Re: SKS LongBoard Question
I had the new P55 Longboards on my old XO-2 and currently have the new P50 Longboards on my 650b Hillborne. The new P50 Longboards are definitely longer than the P55 Longboards and even the fender itself appear to be a little longer than the old P50's without the flaps (I have a set of those as well). None are near as long as the original P45 Longboards however (got those too). The new P50's fit my Hillborne with 650b x 41 Fatty Rumpkins just about perfectly, but I am using Sheldon's Fender Nuts to get the front fender a little higher and flatter in the fork crown for clearance.
