This function only works if you are viewing the group discussions via the
web interface.
The tags provide an ability for the viewer to see all similar listings by
clicking on it. All non-tagged posts and non-tagged threads disappear when
you click on the tag. Essentially it's a quick filter function.
In no way is this meant to replace specific topic and post Subject Lines.
Since many group members interact through email, it is important to be
direct and clear in subject lines.
Michael, what I did was to enable Tagging in general (as opposed to
Categories, which creates a hierarchy and higher degree of separation in
the conversation than I'm comfortable with), and then created a single tag
for Transactions. My thought was that folks who want to skim the list to
see what is being offered would then have a tool to do so. (Again, only
through the web interface).
