Re: [RBW] Re: WTB few parts for my Atlantis

2021-02-12 Thread Hugh Smitham
Bill asked if I had an Atlantis that bridged between the old MUSA/Japan
version and the MIT version?

Bill knows his RIV's I'll give him that. It's an MIT modern version, no
downtube bosses and it's a 53cm so 650b.

For what's it's worth I appreciate the stem shifter recommendation.

[RBW] Re: WTB few parts for my Atlantis

2021-02-12 Thread Bill Lindsay
Hugh asked for a 26.8mm seatpost, 650B tires, and downtube shifters for his
Atlantis.

Are you sure your Atlantis frame will take downtube shifters? Old MUSA and
Japan Atlantis' had downtube shifter bosses, but those frames were 700C or
26". The newer MIT Atlantis take 650B in the medium sizes, and take a
26.8mm seat post, but those frames don't have downtube shifter bosses.
Those newer MIT Atlantis' just have housing stops.

Is your Atlantis some bridge between the two versions?

I run stem shifters on my MIT Atlantis and my Hillborne highly recommend
them, for what it's worth.
