ERD = Effective Rim Diameter. You need to know the ERD of a rim you're building into a wheel (along with hub flange spacing, number of spoke holes and type of wheel you want to build (cross 2 (x2), etc.)) in order to get the right spoke length. Otherwise, you never need to know it. BSD = Bead Seat Diameter. Wheel size, defining the tire size it takes. TT = Top Tube DTT = Double Top Tube? Riv-specific-ish. ST = Seat Tube HT = Head Tube (the fork goes through it) DT = Down Tube (long diagonal tube from HT to BB) SH = Saddle Height, measured from the center of the crank bolt. PBH = Pubic Bone Height. Riv-specific measurement for sizing a bike. F/F/HS = Frame/Fork/Headset. A unit of bicycle that is not a complete bike. Seen in FS listings. BB = Bottom Bracket (or BB shell, depending on context). The cranks attach to the BB. CC = ?? Center-to-Center. A measurement of the TT or ST, to the center of the tube instead of the top. AHH = A. Homer Hilsen. A Rivendell bike model. Nice bike.
