ERD = Effective Rim Diameter. You need to know the ERD of a rim you're building 
into a wheel (along with hub flange spacing, number of spoke holes and type of 
wheel you want to build (cross 2 (x2), etc.)) in order to get the right spoke 
length. Otherwise, you never need to know it. 

BSD = Bead Seat Diameter. Wheel size, defining the tire size it takes.

TT = Top Tube
DTT = Double Top Tube? Riv-specific-ish. 
ST = Seat Tube
HT = Head Tube (the fork goes through it)
DT = Down Tube (long diagonal tube from HT to BB)
SH = Saddle Height, measured from the center of the crank bolt. 
PBH = Pubic Bone Height. Riv-specific measurement for sizing a bike.
F/F/HS = Frame/Fork/Headset. A unit of bicycle that is not a complete bike. 
Seen in FS listings. 
BB = Bottom Bracket (or BB shell, depending on context). The cranks attach 
to the BB. 
CC = ?? Center-to-Center. A measurement of the TT or ST, to the center of 
the tube instead of the top. 
AHH = A. Homer Hilsen. A Rivendell bike model. Nice bike. 
RBW = Rivendell Bicycle Works. A bike company that makes AHHs, QBs,

I built a few wheels and spent too much time comparing rim ERDs, especially 
when trying to reuse spokes.  BSD is good to know if you play with old 
British Raleighs from time to time.  BIKE - I was hoping someone would play.
