[RBW] Re: wtb: 58cm quickbeam
You are correct, Bill, that I have owned both QB and SO. However the SO was a 56cm and I could never really dial it in to my liking and when I came close, the aesthetic was off, to me. I ended up selling the SO, but maintained the wheelset as they were brand new and I could potentially use the with my qb. but I find that the current QB wheelset is perfect and I don't anticipate using the second set as a replacement, there is just too much similarity. Now I'm also sitting on a credit for waltworks and don't have the need as it was for a fork for my evasion lite, which I have since sold. I was thinking I would have Walt add s couplers to a bike that could be used for my packraft adventures. A bike like the QB or Simple One would be ideal so I can use the wheels and other parts I already have handy and have a unique and ideal tool for said adventures. This being said, I should probably sell the brand new Hands on Wheels, Rich built 700c atlas wheels with Phil track hubs and 16/19 dos with gravel king rubber and see if I can't find someone to buy the 275.00 credit for like $150.00 and just deal with a little more tear down when I load my bike on my raft. If anyone is interested in either, let me know... or hurry and sell me a 58 QB not a super fan of the simple one, to me graphics, manufacture location, head badge and name of said bike is important to me. I have an "other". It's a 58cm custom Gunnar singlespeed, that the original owner spec'd to copy the geometry of a Hillborne. Let me know if you want to talk about it. Here is a flickr album with lots of photos of my original build. https://www.flickr.com/photos/45758191@N04/albums/72157642798847383 I offered the current complete recently for the price of a Frank Jones, $1575. I could sell frameset, frameset plus wheels, complete, lots of options. Let me know if you want to discuss it.
