I used to have the same Shimano road brake levers but I sold the bike years
ago and I cannot recall the model.

Didn't Rivendell sell these at one time?

[RBW] Staff Bikes

There's some new additions, including two very cool pink bikes (I love pink
frames and parts). Check out Roman's matte pink Legolas and Amy-Mark's-wife's
fuschia custom cross. I met Amy on a trail at Mt. Diablo a couple years
ago..the fuschia with blue ano in the bright sun is off the charts!

[RBW] Staff Bikes are back

2016-12-16 Thread 'Stephen Kemp' via RBW Owners Bunch
For those who feared the worst after the latest RBW website upgrade, the
Staff Bikes section is restored - under the News menu. Looks like it will
be updated in due course too. Interestingly, Grant's custom singlespeeder
looks a lot like The Deacon's Quickbeam.

My 12 year old son rides a Bontrager MTB. He has no clue how 'cool' it

Just make sure he understands how UNcool it really is if it gets stolen or
trashed... (My son frequently rode to his buddy's house on my Salsa Ala
Carte... I had to have 'the talk' with him first...)

[RBW] Staff Bikes - Mark's Bontrager

2013-02-14 Thread velomann
I have a 95 Bontrager Race straight from the Santa Cruz shop. Don't ride it
enough, but every time I do it puts a silly grin on my face. It sports a not
very impressive Rock Shox Mag fork and I've thought more than once about
ordering a custom rigid fork; I've raced short track with it, and there's
another local racer who has a Race Lite with the sweet Bontrager rigid fork -
covet! Hadn't occurred to me to consider a 650b conversion. Hmmm. Of all my
bikes, it's definitely the last one I'd think of selling.

[RBW] Staff Bikes - Mark's Bontrager

2013-02-13 Thread Philip Williamson
I love Mark's bikes, but hadn't seen the Bontrager before. Nice Santa Cruz
style two-piece stays, and presumably non-original 650B front end. I've thought
about doing the same, but don't have the stones. I think a Kona P2 would work,
but Mark's fork looks like a custom segmented Igleheart, or similar. Has anyone
chatted with him about how he likes the setup?
