[RBW] Stark NAKED Platypus!!!

2023-07-20 Thread Steve
[image: IMG_1520.jpeg]

It arrived earlier today from Austin, still wrapped up in the original RBW
shipping box, purchased by the PO from last November's batch but never
unpacked (thank you Leah for the tip).

I'm planning to build it up as a road-ish cruiser, probably 38 to 44mm
slicks, definitely with fenders. A Billie bar is on the way from Walnut
Creek. I'll also be fitting it with a 3x8 drivetrain because I already own
it, but am thinking about an eventual compact wide range double.

This is my first Rivendell build. For those of you experienced with the
Platy, or any of its kin, how would you do the build? I'd enjoy hearing
any thoughts, opinions, or words of wisdom.
