(This is with a Silver crankset but if I'm not mistaken they spec the same
BB length for a standard triple so they should be very close)

I think part of your answer depends on your tire choice...

Hope that helps!

[RBW] Susie Has a Question - Bottom Bracket Spindle Length

2020-08-19 Thread 'Hetchins52' via RBW Owners Bunch
A question about bottom brackets for the Susie Longbolts:

I got a Tange LN-3922 73 x 127 bottom bracket cartridge for my Susie. I
wasn’t thoroughly reading the comments that mentioned this BB was
recommended ... for a Rivendell Silver crank. However, I’m using an older
SR XD2 “wide x low” 40 — 26 crankset (with chain guard). The 127 turns out
to be way too wide for a good chain line with the SR.

A 122mm BB (American Classic Sealed w/adjustable chainline) that I tried
still puts the crank arms about 15mm (L) to 17mm (R) away from the chain
stays.
The 26 tooth inner has about 10mm clearance to the right chain stay. Tread
or “Q” factor is about 179mm.
I’m thinking I need the Tange 118 cartridge or the 115.5.

Anyone have experience with using the XD2 crankset on the new Susie (or
Gus)? My frame is a medium (53).
What bottom bracket did you use?
