Funny. I just rode to my daughter's school, a mile south, to escort her
home. She is 14 y and 9 months old, and the Dahon is one of the many things
that just embarrasses the hell out of her (my cycling caps are another) --
even though I got exactly 4 comments from students and faculty today
saying, in effect, the bike is "cute." (Daughter says, "Yeah, cute like a
hairless cat is cute.") I'm sure having a tatty, huge saddlebag doesn't
improve the image in her eyes.

(That said, Catie is on the whole well balanced and mature for her age.)
