Here’s mine. https://www.flickr.com/photos/37542512@N04/7439946904/in/set-72157630285823166 FWIW, I love it, and I’ve never had to tighten it once. It’s mounted immediately below the brake hood. Send pics, please. My was mounted in about the same place. I gave it to my wife for her albas so I can't send a picture. My only beef with the mirror is the difficulty keeping the strap tight to keep it in one place, but then it only had to be adjured once per ride. RE: [RBW] Re: German Mirror ???
I have one on my Quickbeam with Noodles, Atlantis with Albas, and Mystery Bike with Bullmoose Bosco. Here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/37542512@N04/8366641217/in/set-72157630957672582 (MB bike) https://www.flickr.com/photos/37542512@N04/8367710962/in/set-72157630957672582/ (MB cockpit) https://www.flickr.com/photos/37542512@N04/8652315774/in/set-72157624427413755/ (Atlantis bike) https://www.flickr.com/photos/37542512@N04/8067481118/in/set-72157623567913352/ (QB bike) Love them with all three bars. I miss the mirror when I’m riding one of my bikes without one, and I rely on them frequently as a backup view to the rear (backup to sound and a quick turn to look). Sometimes the plastic bolt that keeps the ball joint near the mirror comes out (don’t know why), but they can be replaced with a standard (6mm, I think) Allen bolt. Apart from that, they’re quite rugged; as you can see in one of the MB pics, I often lean the bike against the mirror, and they stay adjusted and hold the bike up without any other contact. I like mine: https://flic.kr/p/jwysaa I use it on my commuting bike. The coverage is good enough and the mirror is rugged. I park the bike behind the door in my classroom and on the porch of my house where the mirror receives constant bumping. The bike has also fallen over more times than I care to admit, and the mirror survives. I have not experienced the issues Michael has, but I haven't readjusted the clamp to bar fitting much. Based on its design, I can see where it might not take too much adjusting. I have the tension on the mirror to arm connection such that I can adjust the angle of the mirror with a firm hand; this allows me to adjust it as I ride should it have gotten smacked too hard by an opening door. I have it mounted on Albatross bars. Overall a stout mirror that allows me to track overtaking cars. Re: [RBW] Re: German Mirror ???
Have one and love it. I have taken it on and off a few times with no issues on the clamp but it's over bar tape and shellac so no issues with getting it tight enough on the bars. I have to leave mine slightly loose so I can move it up when the bikes in the hallway.
