Re: [RBW] More Appaloosa Scavenging: WTB Appaloosa Saddle and Pedals

2016-03-31 Thread Christopher Murray
Bill,

I have the saddle and pedals from my Joe- new and unused- that I'd take $60
shipped for. PM me and we work it out.

Cheers!
Chris

2016-03-31 Thread Bill Lindsay
That's hilarious. Thanks for that. For what it's worth, my Mustard
Appaloosa is now officially my best-looking bike, in the eyes of Mrs.
Lindsay. She let me know this morning that it's her favorite.

I never met the man, but when I was choosing an Appa color, there were two
factors:
1. I knew there was one blue Appa coming to Nashville.
2. Bill Lindsay chose Mustard. And as Justin August said, "If Bill wants
it, it must be good."

Re: [RBW] More Appaloosa Scavenging: WTB Appaloosa Saddle and Pedals

2016-03-31 Thread Bill Lindsay
I have not asked Riv if they will stock them. I'm genuinely looking to
snatch up the unwanted castoffs from the group first. It's SUPER common to
buy a bike and immediately change saddle and pedals, so I figured it's
pretty likely. Heck, when I picked up my Appaloosa there were another 5
lined up ready to be picked up, and 3 of the 5 had a Brooks Saddle
installed, or MKS pedals installed, or both. The stock pedals and saddles
were just zip tied to the handlebars. I know those unwanted bits are out
there.

On the other hand, I sometimes suspect I have a reverse jinx. If I say I
want to buy it, that makes people want to hold onto it. If I say I don't
want it, that makes people want to get rid of it. hahahaha
