[rdiff-backup-users] Possible to Restore Single File
I'm evaluating rdiff as a potential backup solution for terabytes of files. Obviously during a restore operation, with that much data you only want to restore what you need. Does rdiff provide a means of restoring a sub-set of files from a backup? You can mount the backup with rdiff-backup-fs, and then just copy the files you want around. http://code.google.com/p/rdiff-backup-fs/ Wonko ___ rdiff-backup-users mailing list at rdiff-backup-users@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/rdiff-backup-users Wiki URL: http://rdiff-backup.solutionsfirst.com.au/index.php/RdiffBackupWiki
Re: [rdiff-backup-users] Possible to Restore Single File
I recommend rdiffweb to restore single files from an rdiff-backup repository. On 22/08/12 22:54, wardrop wrote: Any other means for that'll work on Windows. I have a combination of Windows, OS X and a Busybox QNAP NAS that all need rdiff and possible restore functionality; it's mainly the clients (Windows, OS X) that will need to restore single files. +-- |This was sent by t...@tomwardrop.com via Backup Central. |Forward SPAM to ab...@backupcentral.com. +-- ___ rdiff-backup-users mailing list at rdiff-backup-users@nongnu.org https://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/rdiff-backup-users Wiki URL: http://rdiff-backup.solutionsfirst.com.au/index.php/RdiffBackupWiki
