Re: [RE-wrenches] 600V DC contactor

2019-11-24 Thread Chris Sparadeo
Thanks for the suggestions, everyone. Looks like I have 3 solid options to
work with.

Chris, this specific project was designed with two points of
interconnection. One 10kW inverter on the Sonnen’s critical loads panel and
the other 10 kW on the main distribution panel. Wanting to stick with the
same manufacturer while avoiding having to use 3 separate inverters (and an
additional accumulation panel for the 2 inverters upstream of the Sonnen) I
figured that the DC contactor trick would probably be the easiest way out.

Thanks again for the assist

We have used Gigavac in some of our Li-ion EMS systems for many years with
hundreds in the field and no failures. GX11 good to 800Vdc.

Anyone know of a 600V rated contactor that would suit the bill? Essentially the
contactor would need to sense grid interruption (via a 15A-AC breaker) and open
a 600 V rated DC string.

I’ve done some preliminary searching and have come up empty handed. Any input
would be greatly appreciated.

I've done this with Sonnen previously, interrupted the inverter output to
precent power being sent back to the grid. You might look at to inverters
and interrupt one.
