[Repeater-Builder] Anybody recognize this writeup?

2009-01-05 Thread Mike Morris WA6ILQ
Was going through the files on an external hard drive, and found a PDF file.

Does anybody recognize it, or know what web site it came from?

A copy is here:
http://www.repeater-builder.com/wa6ilq/repeater1.pdf

I'd like to crib from it, and don't know whom to ask...

[Repeater-Builder] Need some help with repeater enclousure

2009-01-05 Thread Peter Summerhawk
Morning Crew,
I have a couple of M-10 radios with RICK along with a cellwave mobile
duplexer that I need a metal locking enclousure for to keep people out of
the equipment. This will be wall mounted and inside to weather is not going
to be a problem. Does anyone have suggestions on a good supplier for getting
one?

Thanks

Peter Summerhawk

[Repeater-Builder] Syntor X9000 Low Band/ Pac-RT Split Site 6M Repeater

2009-01-05 Thread Keith Dobbins
I've got a few extra low band X9000's with UHF Pac-RT's. Has anyone
ever considered using the Pac-RT units for link UHF transmitters to do
a split site setup with the X9000's for a 6M repeater? Just wondering
what the thoughts were or am I better off getting some low band mastr
II's and UHF mastr II's and swaping the radios around to do what I
want. I've got a good recieve and transmit site with line of site to
each other for the split site setup for a 6M repeater. Thanks

You'd need to defeat the talkback-scan capability of the PAC-RT. And
lower the transmit power of the Syntor X9000 to allow it to run for
longer periods of time. IIRC, the normal duty cycle for the X9000 is
10% at 100W.
