Travis,
Thank you foer the updated material on the Johnson repeater.
I the photos of the CR1010 it shows the correct controller for this
model. The one I have has a Johnson controller board, but it
appears to of an older series. It does not have the keypad, digital
display, or the power switches. But it does have a controler board,
Call Guard board, and PL tone board.
Thanks again.

There is some quoted text from ICM in blue, and pictures, showing
which channel elements that ICM will re-crystal here:
 http://aa9nv.r2i.net/equipment.htm
Go to the Johnson repeater section.
I sent you my correspondence from ICM direct.

Last quote I had was $115.45 each element or $20.95 each crystal
if
you know someone willing to do the job.

ICM rerocked a pair for me last year. Not a problem. They
were
 for
   the CR1010 from 450 to 444Mhz.

From the thread Eric suggested you contact ICM and send them
the
 whole
elements. That was exactly what I did and the cost was
$168.65
  shipped.
Turn around time was less than 10 days.

Call ICM. They were very helpful.

James I'm not sure when you contacted ICM about re rocking your TCXO
but I had no problem with them in July 2008. I sent them 2 TCXO's.
They were rocked and compensated and returned in less than 2 weeks.
These were for the CR1010.

Catalog # Description
41534 JOHNSON#521-3(518-2)TX(440-474)CR101
41533 JOHNSON#521-2(518-2)RX(440-474)CR101
37006 ICM TO INSTALL,TEMP/COMP TEST

Maybe you should call ICM back. They are still listed in the current catalog.

I have a CR 1010 repeater that I have crystaled for the ham band. The
first place I called was ICM and they did not want to work on the
TCXOs at all. I then called Bomar Crystal and they would not work on
the TCXO either however they had the specs for the crystals and would
cut them for my frequency. I haven't had time to tune the unit but I
did install them in the TCXOs and it wasn't too hard to do. I do hope
that it is stable when all is said and done. The CR 1000 would be a
good machine for ham use, I would put the performance up there with
the big M and GE equipment of that same time period.

thanks

Hello to the group. i am in need of some information on E.F. Johnson
Repeaters. I am looking for any data about retuning them back into the
 UHF ham band.
I have two different machines with different product numbers on the
 exciter / receiver / PA

Both machines have a controller, Channel Guard (PL Tones)
 First Machine:
Model number of 023-1010-531 on the receiver, and M# 023-1010-120 on
the exciter, and a M# of 023-1010-200 on the PA. With Waycom
 Duplexers 464.825/469.825

 Second Machine:

Model # 023-3823 on RX, M# 242-1000-001 on TX, Decible Products
Duplexer 461.175/466.175 the PA is a TPL Communications RXR series.

I also have a third PA without any markings on it other than this
 A033A053A 21532

I would like to have anything that would pertain to modifying there to
the UHF Ham Band. Manuals on the original configuration from E.F.
Johnson, to details from someone who has made this mod.

I will furnish Photos if this would help.

 Thanks,
 Danny
