[Repeater-Builder] Decibel duplexer harness lengths
Does anybody have the formula for the harness on a Decibel DB-4060-WOC-C? Its a 4 can VHF duplxer. It used to be up around 155Mhz and I need to get it down to 145.23/144.63 It will tune the 145.23 but 144.630 just won't notch right. I suspect the inter-cavity harness. Re: [Repeater-Builder] Decibel duplexer harness lengths
When bringing commercial duplexers down try a trick that I use. Temporarily lengthen the cables by inserting 'right angle' adapters in each line. Not exact but does lengthen each cable by a half inch or so. Good test to see if longer cables are going to help. W8AK YAHOO! GROUPS LINKS Visit your group "Repeater-Builder" on the web. [Repeater-Builder] decibel duplexer
Our club is in need of a new set of cans for our repeater and we have access to some used Decibel DB4044 cans. Speces say they are for freqs 148-174 with a min 3 meg separation. We need to tune it for 145.295 with of course 600 k separation. Can these cans be tuned to this and still work good? Or does someone have a set that will work? Thanks! Yahoo! Re: [Repeater-Builder] decibel duplexer
Hi Bob, at 3 meg split, these will not work work, since you are at a 600KC split, less than 1 meg. There has been a few sets show up on ebay, but just be careful. [Repeater-Builder] Decibel duplexer
I have a Decibel UHF duplexer, but the model number on the ident tag has been scratched through, so Im not sure which model I have. It is a four-cavity animal, and is currently tuned to 462.000 / 467.000. The information from the tag is as follows: Model: 532-40xx-004 Of course, the xx is the number I need. Im thinking it may be a DB4077, but again, the number is obliterated. Anyway, I need to know how long to make the interconnecting jumpers. (It came without the cabling.) The duplexer will be operating on 444.550 / 449.550 once it is configured and re-tuned. I was told that the cables from cavity to cavity need to be ½ wavelength, and the ones from the Duplexer to the antenna T connector need to be ¼ wavelength, but does each side have to be ½ wavelength for the working freq (i.e., one at ½ of 444.550 and one at ½ 449.550) and same for the two short ones? And how do I find out which side is the high side? I got this as a present so I prefer to get it working. wink-wink I tried to find info on the decibel website, but I kept getting sent to Andrew (I know they own them now) and all I could find was for 800 MHz. -- OK, so Im not a web surfing whiz kid Thanks!
