Although he was asking too much, at least he did a good job on the packaging.

I thought the twist-on BNC connector and the hacked off power cable, along
with some of the other I/O wiring was particularly impressive ;-) NOT!

Just because it's an HT doesn't mean the TX is dirty. My IC-32AT's TX
looks a lot cleaner on the spectrum analyzer than several
interference-causing repeater TXs I've looked at over the years. These
weren't hideously spurious TXs, just unusually high in phase noise (-90 to
-100 dBc/Hz @ several 100 kHz out from the main carrier).

All band repeater?

Sounds like some I've seen (whose name shall remain unmentioned)
light up a spectrum analyzer like a Christmas Tree whenever its
transmitter goes active! Ah well.. the 1970's implementation of
spread spectrum!)

(and sure bet that Bearcat receiver is a fine performing one too LOL!)

I waited to post this until the auction had ended, but now decided to send
it so we can all learn:

or search for ended item 270369626907

I especially like the part where he says "This is an amazingly sensitive
receiver. We have noticed little to no difference in sensitivity as to
compared to a single band receiver..."; seems like a lot of us have been
knocking ourselves out for nothing.
