Re: [Repeater-Builder] Circuit diagram for interfacing 2 maxon pm150 repeaters together

2009-06-12 Thread kerinvale
Is there a diagram available .over here I am currently using a sm4450
repeater modification diagram using 2 separate bs170 and transistor to
switch 2 relays which control the ptt on both repeaters but I feel it is
too slow .Also I find the ctcss is a little slow to detect the tone are
there any inmprovements that can improve the detect time?

Thank You,

Hi Ian,
How about building a 3 way 600Z resistive bridge with 7x 220R resistors,
feeding each TX into two of the three ports and utilising the last port for
either RX1 or RX2, which is switched into the remaining port via the active
RX COS control driving into a DPST relay to select the active RX? ... Simple
and it works .

Would anyone have a simple diagram for joining 2 separate maxon sm4450
repeaters together in real time
I.e. Rx1 --+---tx1
 I
  Rx2--+tx2
So what is received from rx1 transmitts to tx1 and TX 2 and what is received
from rx2 goes over tx1 and tx2

Ian,

Do you happen to have wire line control options on those? I tried to do a
quick search for a manual online for them and got nothing. It should not be
any big issue at all to bridge the two repeaters together. Just need to see
what kind of control setup they are using.

I dont know the repeater

But cant you just use a controller for this ??

a 2 port controller will do what you want and will allow you to disconect A
repeater from B Repeater is A or B has a problem
