It's a Motorola Micor, Non-Unified Chassis Station, VHF High-Band.

If you aren't planning on using the Squelch Gate module and you are
going to use a repeater controller, the conversion of it is similar to
the one outlined for the Unified Chassis on my Micor Index of RBTIP,
However, here are some notes for the Non-Unified Chassis:

For TX:
Pin 15 of the exciter (T1 select) goes to pin 16 in the ribbon cable.
 This ultimately goes to the Remote Control Chassis (backplane board)
to pin 14 on the DC Transfer Module contact pins.  Grounding this pin
with a jumper will allow F1 to work.  Alternately, if keyed F1 is
desired
for the TX element, run a jumper wire from pin 2 of the Station Control
backplane pin to pin 14 of the DC Transfer pins.  Note:  The DC
Transfer
module should be pulled out, as the only module needed is the Station
Control Module.

For RX:
Pin 2 of the receiver RF - I-F board (R1 select) goes to pin 21 in the
ribbon cable.  This ultimately goes to the Remote Control Chassis to
pin
21 of the DC transfer module.  Pin 21 of the DC transfer module will
need
grounded at all times for the receiver to work.  No DC Transfer module
is needed.

The rest of the conversion should be *basically*
the same as what is written in the article.  Realize that most if not
all of the signals required to drive a controller can be found at the
backplane where the Squelch Gate Module interfaces.  As the article
suggests, I don't care for the squelch gate module for my applications,
but your situation may be different.

  Several years ago, I had an installation of the non-unified 
 chassis system installed at my then repeater site.  Since it was 
 wired as a repeater (amateur band) I wanted to be able control 
 it as the FCC requires - so I left the DC transfer module and the 
 line driver cards in the control shelf. 

  The line PTT worked as the factory had wired it.  The remote 
 controlled Private Line Disable latch on the DC transfer module 
 was patched into pin 3 of the Station Control Module (key inhibit)
 to turn off the transmitter when the need arose. 

  Worked for me.

forthere shouldn't be any reason it won't work in the U.K.

Hi Steve,

The GB3FH repeater in Somerset is using a heliax duplexer and it is truly 
excellent!

If you like I can send you the plots from the analyser that shows the 
performance of the duplexer, they are only small jpegs - don't think I can 
send them to the list as I think it strips attachments.

Also, have a look at the web site www.gb3fh.org.uk for some photos from the 
chap who made our duplexer - he made some mods that make it much easier to 
tune and build

Hi

yes be interested in seeing the spec analyser plots.
I really need to get one built for me, I don't have the gear or cable etc to
make one. I did ages ago play about with a couple of lenghts of 1 5/8 heliax
but it was a failure.
Iam testing at present using 2 aerials it works but this is purely
for tests. I don't mind paying  a fair price

For all the looking I've done, I've only ever found one place on the web
that had 4" or larger copper pipe available.  And it was something like
30.00/foot.  Has anyone found better sources for this type of pipe for
building cavities?

Thanks to all who replied. It appears I was asking too much for the set 
($1200), and I have been informed that everything else is pretty much worthless 
except for the duplexer. So, I have decided to scrap the hardline and 
the antenna, trash the repeater and take offers on the cans. If your 
interested, tell me what you'll give me for the cans. Email for pictures.

If it's a true repeater station, I don't think your repeater PA is 
worthless.  Boards for the station for 6m are a dime-a-dozen from 
mobiles, but a real station PA for 6m is not always common to find.  You 
might want to hang onto that to sell.

Is it a Decible dipole array with the molded 35 ohm matching sections? 
If so and you know the freq it is on now I could give you something for

I wouldn't say they are worthless..  but 1200 bucks was a little on the
steep side.  I bought 4 complete low-band Micor stations for 30 bucks plus
shipping each.  And they had the continous duty PA's (which is pretty much
what I was paying for, meaning the PA).

Speaking of...  Mike Morris..  do you want one of the chassis'?  Let me
know.. direct please.

I also have a couple of extra power supplys I would let go of pretty cheap
to clear some room in the shack.  I haven't even plugged them in, so I have
no idea what kind of shape the caps are in...   did I mention cheap?

A six can duplexer just sold for a pretty hefty sum, but it was
brand-spankin' new, and the correct banding.

I would try taking offers on the individual pieces...  If you don't get any
reasonable offers you might even try...  lord forgive me...  eBay.  Shipping
the cans will be a nightmare though.

Trading up to a real duplexer from heliax notches would have been nice, but
I am about hip deep in a 900MHz machine now.  Good luck on your endeavors..

If it's a true repeater station, I don't think your repeater PA is
worthless.  Boards for the station for 6m are a dime-a-dozen from
mobiles, but a real station PA for 6m is not always common to find.  You
might want to hang onto that to sell.

    I am in NW Florida and hope you will not throw the 
hardline away if it is good.  The hams in NW Florida are always looking for 
hardline and if it is good would be worth a trip to save it from the 
dumpster.  I do not do 6 mtr work but if I did I would be interested in the 
duplexers.  If the hardline is available very cheap pls advise me off
