EC provides the Freescale global Engineering community with a unified strategy architecture infrastructure, deploys and supports engineering applications, establishes a common design environment, and ensures security compliance to company wide standards. *Duties and Responsibilities: * -This administrator is responsible for rapidly identifying and resolving OS-related failures, and for coordinating resolution in equipment failures. -The Unix/Linux Systems Administrator Specialist is responsible for supporting a large RedHat Linux Unix/Solaris engineering compute environment, including end user workstations and design center operations. -Oversees administration, installation, maintenance and proper licensing of systems, including installation of server operating systems, patches and upgrades. -Operations of onsite EC servers, desktops, applications. -Upgrade, patch, tune, monitor, troubleshoot to maximize functionality.
