*Must have *strong Hitachi experience with some EMC, NetApp
*Description: *
6 month project to start but could be up to 1 year. Will accept H1b and
non-local candidates. must have excellent communication, no strong accents
and be able to speak on the Directors behalf in meetings if necessary. This
group is taking over EMC servers as they are decommissioned and switching
them to Hitachi. Other NetApp servers will be moved over to EMC Isilon.
- Reviewing and establishing best practices for a large and growing Storage
Area Network.
- Setting technical direction in the planning and design of future storage
requirements, including Virtualization, Object and Content storage.
- Planning and design of migration methodologies and implementation
procedures. works with internal technical teams to plan and create
migration runbooks. Executes migration procedures as needed.
- Working closely with the Business Continuity and DR teams to establish
documented solutions for remote recovery and replication strategies.
- Overall architecture and implementation of Storage products within the
company.
- Recommending corporate strategies for emerging technologies, effectively
manages vendor relationships, and maintains a leadership role for the
development and enforcement of corporate technology standards
- Manages Storage Specialists/Engineers, including vendors and contractors.
- Maintaining the Storage environment.
- Leading the effort in ensuring that all project plan deliverables are met
maintains standard Storage process and procedures.
- Evaluate, integrate, maintain, and support Enterprise level Storage
Solutions within the Data Center environment
- Analyze business and user requirements leading to the selection and
implementation of appropriate Storage solutions.
- Understand installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating
systems, application software, computer hardware, peripherals, networks,
and systems communications.
- Develop and implement process, procedures and technical documentation for
an Enterprise Storage Area Network.
- Possesses and demonstrates a broad and deep knowledge of overall company
operations, business goals objectives.
- Demonstrated effective communication, negotiation, interpersonal,
leadership, problem-solving, time management, organizational, coaching, and
assessment skills.
- Understanding of budgeting, financial analysis and planning
methodologies.
