This administration would not include an solutions, but BASE SAS installed on IBM AIX 6 & 7 along with clients such as desktop SAS and Enterprise Guide. The candidate should not only be familiar with the SAS/MC, but also understand all configuration files associated with BASE SAS, what their purposes are and how to modify to effect the SAS environment. This candidate needs to be a specialist in SAS Authentication, security and encryption since SAS is authenticating to LDAP allowing for single sign-on across the platform as well as SAS/SECURE to encrypt special SAS datasets. The candidate will help define and guide a security architecture with folder permissions, users, groups, roles and metadata permissions. Background: SAS Environment consists of SAS9.2, SAS9.3 and SAS9.4 installed on AIX6&7 servers. Users authenticate to SAS using LDAP for single sign-on Looking for a SAS Admin that specializes in authentication, security and encryption Admin should be able to write code in order to query SAS metadata repository as needed. Current have many different databases including Oracle, Teradata, Sybase, Greenplum, MSSQL Server, etc. Admin will need to be able to configure relevant access engines and create metadata libraries. Specific Technical Skillsets: Administer SAS Platform using SAS Management Console Administer SAS Platform by modifying and creating configuration files and settings. Base SAS to query database and metadata repository. SAS/Secure from the perspective of encrypting SAS datasets and installing proper client side components for decryption. SAS Authentication and the ability to configure SAS to authenticate to alternative authentication providers such as LDAP, ActiveDir, PAM. Ability to create SAS scripts to utilize SAS load and update macros to load users and groups from LDAP automatically. SAS Security from both the perspectives of the SAS Management Console and OS. SAS Management Console: Creating and securing metadata-bound libraries Creating and securing metadata objects and folders Creating users and groups. Creating and utilizing roles.
