o.k. i'm running 3.0.25 on these servers.
i'll use the workaround until I upgrade the boxes.

That issue was fixed in 3.1.2:

As a workaround, you can use and to match
the requests
and send a 404:
http://www.caucho.com/resin-3.1/doc/rewrite-tags.xtp#not-found
