A health services company is seeking a Network Admin to join their team in
Fort Worth, TX.
for the (1) Network Engineer II positions we’re looking for the below
skills:
- Network Route/Switch experience, able to upgrade firmware on equipment
- Solarwinds configuration alerts
- Solarwinds monitoring
- CCNA or JNCIP
- Juniper Networking is a plus
- Aruba Wireless is a plus
- Design, setup and configuration of Data Center Network environments.
- Establishes and maintains networking environment by designing system
configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and
enforcing system standards
- Maximizes network performance through proactive monitoring;
troubleshooting network problems and outages; plan, document, and schedule
upgrades and changes to network infrastructure; collaborates with network
architects on network optimization, design, and implementation
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet
and its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing,
SPAM, etc.)
- Hands-on experience of various routing and switching protocols
-EIGRP,OSPF,BGP and QOS, STP, HSRP, RPR,RPR+,SSO
- Strong knowledge and working experience in Firewalls, IPS,
Loadbalancers
- *Experience in handling of Juniper Firewall and PaloAlto Firewall*
- Understanding of SBR and RADIUS authentication
- Good understanding and Experience on WLAN technology (802.11a/g/n)
- Experience in handling of 2 factor authentication ( RSA Authentication
Manager) Understanding of DNS and DHCP designs and hands on knowledge on IP
management tools
- Assist in the design of multi-server environments including IP address
schemes, DNS, WINS, Ether-Channel (Bonding), etc.
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services
in accordance with established objectives.
- Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software
application to resolve operational issues and restore services.
- Build and maintain good working relationship with key vendors.
- Create and maintain blueprints/guidelines for deploying, maintaining,
and troubleshooting our cloud environments.
- Stay up to date with latest security, load balancing and networking
trends; undergo training for new products; test products and solutions in
Netsmart’s environment.
- Telecom
- Strong knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager hardware and
software and associated adjunct systems including CMS, ECAS,
Conversant and
NICE Logger.
- Demonstrated knowledge of auto-attendants, call-centers and
vectoring, TDM and VoIP telecommunications architectures and structured
cabling systems is also required
- Move/Add/Changes configurations.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing network specifications, analyzing workflow, access,
information, and security requirements; researching and developing
infrastructure specifications to deliver and meet business objectives and
enforcing system standards.
- Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance;
troubleshooting network problems and outages; scheduling upgrades;
collaborating with network architects on network optimization using
trending, and capacity planning techniques.
- Maintaining and Securing the network by developing network access,
monitoring, control, and evaluation.
- Upgrading network hardware and software including service packs,
patches, hot fixes and security configurations by conferring with vendors..
- Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g.,
routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS) Capable of
oversight of vendors and contractors to achieve defined objectives.
- Maintaining firewalls and managing responses to security threats in
coordination with the Security Officer.
- Engaging in data network fault investigations
- Maintaining windows and Linux based operating systems and host systems
with software installation/upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years of IT related experience
- Certified Professional or higher in a networking platform such as a
CCNP or JNCIP-ENT.
- Knowledge of CompTIA Network+
- Familiar with various network types including LANs, WANs, WLANs,
security related systems and VoIP networks.
- The ability to perform typical network administration skills,
including upgrades and maintenance of hardware, PBX move/adds/changes
(MAC), networking principals and protocols support function
- Demonstrated knowledge in user administration, firewall and router
configuration, MS office support, Windows Server Current and back 2 major
versions, Windows Desktop OS Current and back 2 major versions, Juniper
environments
- A proven track record of vendor relations experience
