Description Feed analysis – Interact with business users and source system IT teams to define, agree, and document incoming data feed specifications. Data modeling – Interact with business users and middleware team to conform data sources into facts and dimensions of the star-schema data model. Conduct peer design reviews. ETL design – Design processes that transform and load data sources into fact and dimension tables according to best practices. Conduct peer design reviews. Development– Implement database and ETL programs according to design and coding standards. Conduct peer code reviews. Testing – Plan, execute, and document testing of database and ETL programs. User Support – Interact with end users in a support role to fulfill requests or resolve issues. Production Support – Provide off-hour and weekend support of application batch processes on a rotational, on-call basis. Qualifications Essential: Data warehousing Oracle PL/SQL programming Unix programming Knowledge of fixed income and equity products 5 years of application development experience, preferably in a large corporation with a demonstrated ability to navigate large, complex organizations to get work done College degree in computer science or comparable quantitative field such as engineering, math, or science.
