Suggested fix: If the user did not alter the sample text and the input area has lost its focus, remove the text again. The problem with this is, that the general impression should be in the *first* tab, since the normal workflow follows the tabs from left to right, starting with the first active tab. Unfortunately, the appropiate edit field is currently placed inside the third tab, which is pretty counter-intuitive. Any ideas for a redesign?
