Problem adding CVS repository unable to authenticate against this repository with the provided username and password
Hi, I'm trying to set up Review Board version 1.5 rc1 and have some difficulties getting a CVS repository to work. So far I have: - created the site with apache (v2.2) and mod_python - configured a repository as :ext:someu...@mccvs.de.cvs.com:/cvs/pfw/ cvs - copied .shh dir of an authorised user (someuser) to the data folder and set its ownershitp to apache - set an environment variable in conf/apache-modpython.conf as SetEnv CVS_RSH ssh (this did not help) Upon clicking save at the add repository page I get the error: Unable to authenticate against this repository with the provided username and password. I wonder if anyome might have some tips on how to solve this? Thanks, Tim. -- Want to help the Review Board project? Donate today at http://www.reviewboard.org/donate/ Happy user? Re: RB integration with Redmine bug tracker
I hope i am clear in what i have mentioned... When i give a bug tracker url in RB it doesnt take the same path instead it either adds or deletes part of the url link. On Sep 6, 10:21 am, Chetan chetan@gmail.com wrote: Sorry forgot to add the actual link which i tried and not working. As we have to just point to the issues when i give the link http://xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/issues/%s; in RB project bug tracker url it only takes http://xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/; Some urls are not takenwhat cud be the reason for this. On Sep 6, 9:48 am, Chetan chetan@gmail.com wrote: Mr. Christian you are right... i was trying to post a new bug/ defect/change_request. So how does linking help? One more problem is when i give http://xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/projects/ test_project/issues/%s in the bug url and click on SAVE it doesnt take the same link instead it changes to either http:// xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/projects/test_project/%s/issues/%s or http:// xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/projects/test_project Why is this problem occuring i cud not figure out. Review Board can't post to bug trackers today. It's a way to link to existing bug trackers, so that if someone references an existing filed bug in a review request, we can provide a handy link to it. In this case, to link, you'd probably want something like http://xx.xx.x.xxx:xxx/projects/test_project/issues/%s (where %s is the placeholder for the bug number). The bug URL for Redmine should read: http(s)://host:port/issues/%s [Assuming you installed Redmine in the root directory of the respective (virtual) host.] Regards, Thilo- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text -- Hide quoted text - - Show quoted text - -- Want to help the Review Board project? Thanks for git-svn support in post-review
Hi list, I've been working the past weeks with `post-review'. When I first tried it out I was completely blown away by the fact that it intelligently handles my git-svn checkouts. So whoever did that part, thanks a lot. I owe you a beer. Thanks Patrice PGP.sig Description: This is a digitally signed message part

You've tried following the steps here? http://www.reviewboard.org/docs/manual/dev/admin/installation/linux/ http://www.reviewboard.org/docs/manual/dev/admin/installation/linux/I don't know that there's anything different enough in Ubuntu 10.4 that would make these instructions not work. --Jeff On Tue, Sep 7, 2010 at 11:25 AM, Rajat Khandelwal rajatgupt...@gmail.comwrote: Hi all I wanted to install review board in my ubuntu 10.04 and as there are no good tutorials about that, I am unable to do that. Re: Review Board 1.5's web API documentation is live
Hi Christian, Is there a compatibility guide, ie which 1.0 API may not work with the new one or work differently ? Thanks. Gilles. On Saturday 04 September 2010 09:12:35 pm Christian Hammond wrote: Hi everyone, I realized today that I never really announced the new web API documentation for Review Board 1.5. Last week, I put up the first version of the new docs. They're available at http://www.reviewboard.org/docs/manual/dev/webapi/. These cover authentication, the resources, HTTP methods per-resource, possible error codes, and more. There is still work to be done, including adding some How To docs on such things as creating new review requests or commenting or iterating lists of results. These will be done incrementally. The old docs are still linked to and won't be going away. However, Review Board 1.0's API is feature-frozen at this point, and all new work will focus on the API in 1.5. I'd welcome any feedback on the docs as people start to use them.
