Updates: Status: Confirmed Comment #4 on issue 3751 by chip...@gmail.com: RBTools leaks DB handles ( other resources?) in long-living process https://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3751 We've discovered the problem and will get it into this week's release. The problem was due to an atexit() call in rbtools/api/cache.py. You can find that line and remove it to prevent this problem on your server until you can upgrade. -- You received this message because this project is configured to send all issue notifications to this address. Re: Install error on database creation
I found out the reason. It was due to Django incompatibilities with Python 2.6.4, upgrading Python (to 2.7.9) solved this problem. That what I get from trying to install on an old system. Thanks again! Em segunda-feira, 2 de fevereiro de 2015 14:22:01 UTC-2, Rafael Vargas escreveu: Hi! I'm trying to install reviewboard and couln't get pass the rb-site install step due to a database creation error. As I'm trying to install ReviewBoard-2.0.12, I could not find which would be the appropriate Django version. I believe that Django was installed automatically by easy_install as a dependency of ReviewBoard so it should be compatible, right? I've also tested the mysql access credentials and it seemd to work fine from command line. Is there anything I'm missing? Re: Need help for those who successfully installed reviewboard on FreeBSD
Your best bet is to follow the Linux installation instructions the best you can, and to use easy_install to install our packages, rather than building them yourself. We don't support FreeBSD in any capacity, though, so you're likely to run into problems we don't have fixes for. Issue 3752 in reviewboard: Publicize a list of taken WebAPIError error code blocks from public extensions
Status: New Owner: Labels: Type-Enhancement Priority-Medium New issue 3752 by mike.d.c...@gmail.com: Publicize a list of taken WebAPIError error code blocks from public extensions https://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3752 *** For customer support, please post to reviewbo...@googlegroups.com *** If you have a patch, please submit it to http://reviews.reviewboard.org/ *** *** Do not post confidential information in this enhancement request! What version are you running? N/A What's the URL of the page this enhancement relates to, if any? N/A Describe the enhancement and the motivation for it. We're developing some extensions with WebAPIResource's, and we're developing new WebAPIError's for these endpoints. We're not sure what we're supposed to be choosing for the WebAPIError error codes (not the HTTP status codes). They seem to be arbitrarily chosen. At this point, we just know we should probably avoid colliding with any error codes from Review Board, Djblets or any of our other extensions. I can see this becoming more of an issue as more and more extensions become available and introduce new WebAPIErrors. I'm really not sure how best (or how necessary it is) to avoid collisions with other WebAPIError status codes. One thing I was thinking about was having some code in the package store that scans Review Board extensions for WebAPIErrors and collects the codes that are being used, and provide a list of those error codes. That way, a developer could choose wisely and avoid collision. What operating system are you using? What browser? Comment #1 on issue 3752 by chip...@gmail.com: Publicize a list of taken WebAPIError error code blocks from public extensions https://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3752 What I'd like to do for API version 3 is to move away from error codes to error IDs (strings). That would solve this problem. Right now, yeah, it's an issue. I'd say start at 1000, since we're not going up that high. If you collide with a code from another extension, well, those codes are going to be extension-dependent, so the clients just need to know which they're interacting with, I suppose. We should probably officially say 1000+ are reserved for per-extension error codes. -- You received this message because this project is configured to send all issue notifications to this address. Re: Issue 3685 in reviewboard: changenum cannot be updated via REST API as documented
Comment #4 on issue 3685 by mgul...@gmail.com: changenum cannot be updated via REST API as documented https://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=3685 I have verified that the fix allows me to update the changenum, but unfortunately this fix is not as useful as I hoped it would be. Is there any way to update the changenum without calling update_from_commit_id? This overwrites the current contents of the review request. I really just want to update the changenum and nothing else. I tried curl http://reviewboard/api/review-requests/1234/ -X PUT -d changenum=10 -d update_from_commit_id=0 but this doesn't work. Run attached program What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect only 1 connection to apicache.db since I only have 1 RBClient created which I tear down immediately. Instead I see it keeps growing. There is no way to tear down this RBClient. What operating system are you using? What browser? Python 2.7, 10.10 Please provide any additional information below. This causes a huge problem where we run out of FDs in a long-running process (buildbot) where we create a new connection on every build. I can improve it slightly by trying to persist the client handle, but the problem is there's absolutely no way for me to tear down this resource.
