Issue 839 in reviewboard: Option to convert tabs in the diff to (n) spaces
Comment #3 on issue 839 by xhyperlite: Option to convert tabs in the diff to (n) spaces http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=839 Is there a "right place" to implement a workaround that replaces all 'tabs' with appropriate spaces until a configuration option has been implemented? -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. Issue 1163 in reviewboard: lost review
Comment #3 on issue 1163 by chipx86: lost review http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1163 It's okay. We have many of our VMware users filing internal bugs here as well. If you want to get Eric Huss to comment on this bug or otherwise help provide support, I'm sure he'd be willing to help provide the information. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. Issue 1163 in reviewboard: lost review
Comment #2 on issue 1163 by unkadoug: lost review http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1163 Sorry. I thought I was talking to Ironport guys who wrote and installed this, and would therefore already know the answers to these questions. Unfortunately, I don't have useful answers to many of these questions, so it would have been best, in retrospect, if I'd just kept my complaining to myself. What version are you running? I don't know, and I don't know how to find out. What's the URL of the page containing the problem? It's an internal ironport URL, so you can't get there. What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. view a diff 2. write a review 3. attempt to publish it I don't know that these steps will reproduce the problem, though, and those steps have failed to produce a problem in many cases in the past. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? I expect to see that the review was published. Instead I see no sign that a review was ever written. What operating system are you using? What browser? FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; FreeBSD i386; en-US; rv:1.8.1.16) Gecko/20080829 Firefox/2.0.0.16 Please provide any additional information below. I know that a bug report without reliable repro is useless. Sorry, but I can't help it. Just flush this bug report. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. Issue 1163 in reviewboard: lost review
Updates: Status: NeedInfo Comment #1 on issue 1163 by chipx86: lost review http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1163 Please answer the useless questions so we know what version's being used, what browser, and have a good idea of how to reproduce it. These things do matter. I'm sorry this happened, and I know it's frustrating, and it's good to vent, but a report like this doesn't do any good unless we have a solid way to repro it so we can fix it. Your point about the review dialog is true, but is really a separate bug, and something we do plan to address in a future version. -- You received this message because you are listed in the owner or CC fields of this issue, or because you starred this issue. Issue 1163 in reviewboard: lost review
Status: New Owner: Labels: Type-Defect Priority-Medium New issue 1163 by unkadoug: lost review http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=1163 I will ignore the useless questions below. I was reviewing a patch. I clicked publish, and after a while, a popup warned me that a script was not completing. I let it go on. When it stopped, I chose to save the review, since I didn't think it had been published. But it was neither saved nor published. And having a giant blank review box cover the darkened, backgrounded code that you are about to review means you have to memorize the review you plan to write before you start typing it, which isn't good. *NOTE: Do not post confidential information in this bug report.* What version are you running? What's the URL of the page containing the problem? What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. 2. 3. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? What operating system are you using?
