Issue 742 in reviewboard: Email Authentication Error

2009-03-11 Thread codesite-noreply

Comment #5 on issue 742 by elgueromexicano: Email Authentication Error
http://code.google.com/p/reviewboard/issues/detail?id=742

I have continued to mess around with this whenever I get a chance. It
seems to me
that the problem is that the password is being sent to hmac as unicode and
it is
expecting a string.

I created the following patch which seems to be working on my system. I am
very new
to python and I am not sure if this would be the proper way to take care of
this.
But maybe this will help come up with a solution in order for authenticated
smtp to
work properly.

Thanks

We would need debug logs to know what went wrong. If you're the admin, they
should be
e-mailed to you, or if you can set DEBUG = True in your settings_local.py
and
reproduce it, that would show it too.
