Re: [RDD] USB sound card issues

2015-02-18 Thread Rob Landry

Sorry, I replied before thinking.

The thing is, the sound card shouldn't work in Audacity if Rivendell is
using it... so my thought was that rdalsaconfig hadn't configured it.

But it occurred to me that you probably need to stop and restart the
Rivendell daemons for the new configuration to take effect. Have you
tried that?

Hi,
I recently installed an ASI

shows up in alsamixer as well as
rdalsaconfig, but even after
enabling it, I cannot select it in
RDAirplay's config. It works in
Audacity, but not in RD. Please

Tried it. Seems like it doesnt
detect the sound card in the
RDadmin Host config.

Yet they all show up in alsamixer,

[RDD] Unable to import audio or delete carts

2015-02-18 Thread Rich Gattie
Hello, and thanks for reading.

Well, I had to go play and try and get something to work, and have in turn
broken something else. I can't seem to import audio files, or delete carts
in RDLibrary.

I have checked the archives of the mailing list and made sure that the
owner and group for rdxport.cgi is correct, as well as for /var/snd.

I have even tried reinstalling from repos and still no luck. So I'm kind of
stuck as to what to try next. I am running 2.10.2 on Ubuntu, and database
schema is 242.

Any suggestions as to what to try next or what I should also be checking?

Thanks and 73!

Re: [RDD] RDCatch Username/Password Needed for Events?

With the old system, all RDCatch events didn't require a username/password
for these kind of RDCatch-file:/// events. Is there some global config that
we're not configuring correctly to remove this requirement?

You’ll need to specify the credentials for a local Linux user account that has
access to the desired file. On a Broadcast Appliance setup, that will default
to ‘rd / rd’.

Cheers!
