And I would strongly concur ! Even if you harden/encrypt MySQL, by exposing it at all you are opening a path for the bad guys. Even if all they do is hit you with a denial of service... [RDD] MySQL Encryption?
Is the MySQL that is configured on the Appliance DVD setup with SSL encryption installed?
