this is not currently possible for a dropdown, but you can set the
options of a element, dynamically (property "available").

Of course that feature would make sense for a dropdown just as much,
but the implementation of that is quite different.

dynamically set options for a dropdown menu

2018-10-10 Thread meik michalke
hi,

the call

  system("pandoc --list-output-formats")

lists the output formats your currently installed version of pandoc can write.
given that this list of formats will vary between systems, it might be a good
idea to not have a static dropdown menu with possible output formats, but one
which only lists what you can actually use. so, could the above call somehow
be used to dynamically fill a dropdown menu in a plugin dialog?

for the time being, i'll use a short list of usual candidates which should
work for all recent pandoc installations.

is that case being dealt with already? i.e., is there support for both v1 and
v2, and is "" being interpreted?

i've started working on the export plugin, and this would be relevant. i could
simply include a v1 checkbox, but it would be helpful if the plugin already
knew that v1 was requested in the document to set a proper default value
respectively.

The order is now the same in English. May be I noticed this instability problem
in an older version of RKWard.

Thanks. The order as seen in your screenshot is definitely not what was
intended, but it's the same in English.

Did you actually observe the menu item jumping around depending on language?
Just so we know where to look for the cause of the issue.

In fact, we'd have to keep the debian packaging somewhere, and "merge"
it into the sources while building (we do the same for translations in
the PPAs, so the procedure itself is pretty clear). But we only need the
"sloppy" variant of the packaging for this purpose (i.e. the one that
just works, without trying to keep up the latest debhelper
compatibility levels, and such; "debian" instead of "debian-official").

Thomas

how about "Statisics with R"?

how would it affect our various PPAs if there was no debian/ directory in the
sources?

rkwardui.rc determines ordering of action items. Currently,
"configure_packages" is the last action, but since there is a separator, it
looks intentionally placed there?
