There is a kate console plugin, but we're not loading that, yet. it's similar to what happens above -- here's how i can replicate it: 1. start RKWard 2. open the R console 3. open the file browser 4. browse to a file in a git repo and open it in the editor result: the project view is created next to the file browser, and an additional shell prompt opens right next to the R console, labelled "current project". i wonder what happens on a windows machine ;) viele grüße :: m.eik -- dipl. psych. meik michalke institut f"ur experimentelle psychologie abt. f"ur diagnostik und differentielle psychologie heinrich-heine-universit"at d-40204 d"usseldorf signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

I believe it happens, when the projects tool view gets created, while the file manager view is already open (such as when you open a first file belonging to a "project"). I've also seen this happen when moving tool views around, but never bothered to debug it, properly. > at one occasion i also had a linux console open in a split view to > the R console which also disappeared when i selected the R console > button and never reappeared since. > > this is not supposed to happen, right? Huh? There is a kate console plugin, but we're not loading that, yet. And I have no idea where else a linux console could be coming from. Any idea what you did to make that happen? Perhaps it would be cleaner, if only the "Current File" and "Open Files"-strings in the selector would be adjusted. However, I'm not sure, whether there is a clean way to do that. Hi, regarding the new "Search in Files" naming ("Search in Scripts" in RKWard) I recommend to use the labels of Kate. Kate plugins - running without installing
Hi! Two quick notes about the current development version of RKWard: 1) RKWard can now load ate plugins. As of now, "Search in Files", "Snippets", and "Projects" are hard-coded to be loaded (if they are available), so this brings quite a few strong new features, right there. A bunch of further plugins are available, but I'll need to add a settings page to configure which plugins to load. One thing to look out for when testing these new features is the placement of menu items. I'm not quite sure about the best approach, here, but e.g. I have merged the "Projects" and "Tools" top level menus into "Edit". There is also the question, whether actions provided by plugins should be visible *all* of the time, or only while the corresponding plugin tools windows are active. 2) If you want to give the above a try, this has just become another step easier on Linux / BSD: You can now run RKWard directly from the build tree, without "sudo make install". This way you can even test the development version in parallel to a regularly installed version of RKWard (do note that the config is shared, however).
