The most likely explanation is that the new logical instruments automagic
channel mapping stuff is playing hell with your setup.

You can probably get rolling again by going in and changing a lot of stuff
over from auto to fixed in the instrument parameters boxes.

Ah, didn't think about the new dynamic stuff (it wasn't a feature I
was interested in so I had ignored it in the announcement), I will try
that tonight when I am back in the studio.

Switching each instrument to fixed did it.

Might be a good idea for channels to default to 'fixed' and not 'auto'
when opening existing projects if it's not already set. This could
cause a lot of confusion if someone is migrating a project from an
older release or importing MIDI from other applications.

I'm glad that got you out of the bind.

Yes, I think that's a good place to start. With no setting in the file, we
had to pick something arbitrarily, and we picked auto for everything but
percussion, fixed for percussion.

People are probably still going to need a global top level override too, I
suspect.

Who knows, I actually got caught up on a lot of stuff yesterday, and I might
snatch a few minutes for this later tonight. Maybe. It's touch and go.

I think this is proof enough that we need a top-level global override for this
pretty desperately.

I'm all for that, but I'm the busiest with work I've ever been in my life
right now, and I just have no idea when I might have time to knock that out.
I could probably do it in an evening, once I get a chance. Problem is I'm
literally coming home, going to bed, getting up, and going back to work. I
barely have time to eat, and I've had to put everything I was doing in the way
of spare time stuff on hiatus indefinitely.

I consider this a highish priority item in terms of trying to roll out a
follow-up point release pretty soon after implementing it.
