Does rsync use md4 or md5?
Hello, NEWS for rsync 3.0.0 http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/src/rsync-3.0.0-NEWS says: Protocol 30 now uses MD5 checksums instead of MD4. But the rsync man page http://rsync.samba.org/ftp/rsync/rsync.html does not mention MD5, but only talks about MD4 checksum. I guess the man page is only a bit outdated? Or did I misunderstand something? Regards, David Depardoux -- Please use reply-all for most replies to avoid omitting the mailing list.
