pops up saying (a problem occurred when trying to transfer the file

i would like to have someone help me,i have nascar 
205 when i put cautions on the cautions dont' work.and the gas gauge dont' work 
i tried all the levels of racing and all the series of racing,couple of the 
tracks are lock and i cant' unlock them

I get a message saying Could not find any compatable Direct 3D devices w\the required 
capabilities. Make sure you have current drivers for your video card.

My computer has all the items specified in your manual. I downloaded the directX files 
from the disk to insure the version was up to date.
