[RollTideFan] Tide has worked hard...
It is understandable that questions would be raised regarding the attitude of an Alabama football team that has lost three straight games and four of six this season. Crimson Tide Head Coach Mike Shula said following Thursdays practice that he thinks the team has responded well to the adversity. I think (their attitude) has been great, Shula said. I think these guys are hungryextremely hungryfor a win. I think they're a little ticked off and they've worked hard because of it. http://alabama.theinsiders.com/2/187705.html J.E. [RollTideFan] TGIF Groaner (Non)
Subject: Military Retirement Bonus The pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus. They promised any general who retired immediately, his full annual benefits plus $10,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two points on the general's body, with the general getting to select any pair of points he wished. The first man, an Air Force general, accepted. He asked the pension man to measure from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. Six feet. He walked out with a check of $720,000. The second man, an Army general, asked them to measure from the tip of his up-stretched hands to his toes. Eight feet. He walked out with a check for $960,000. When the third general, a grizzled old Marine General, was asked where to measure, he told the pension man: From the tip of my penis to my testicles. The pension man suggested that perhaps the Marine general might like to reconsider, pointing out the nice checks the previous two generals had received. The Marine general insisted and the pension expert said that would be fine, but that he'd better get the medical officer to do the measuring. The medical officer attended and asked the general to drop 'em. He did. The medical officer placed the tape on the tip of the general's penis and began to work back. My God! he said, where are your testicles? Vietnam, the general replied !! [RollTideFan] Auburn tradition eheh...
The great arbrin tradition of cheating, lying, failing. I almost forgot the vandalism of their own campus after a victory. BRILLIANT! Woo Hoo! Let's see. 2003 -1957 -- 46 HAHAHAHAHA! I forget about their SEC-West co-championship. BWWAAAWAAA! AUBURN SUCKS! Stupid redneck cocksuckers. -Original Message- From: Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2003 2:58 PM To: Subject: [afr-updates] Digest Number 1368 See Msg. #15 and reference to Auburn Tradition... --- Message: 15 Date: Thu, 9 Oct 2003 10:11:15 -0500 From: Bill Evans [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [Recruiting '04] Recruiting going well at AU http://www.al.com/sports/birminghamnews/index.ssf?/base/sports/1 065691009195970.xml Recruiting going well at AU 10/09/03 AUBURN -- Darius McClure saw the national hype, saw Karlos Dansby and Dontarrious Thomas on the cover of a national magazine, heard about how great Auburn was supposed to be. But it wasn't national exposure alone that prompted him to commit to play football for the Tigers. It was an Auburn tradition that really won the day. I went to Tiger Walk and a couple of fans already knew my name, the Minor High School defensive back said. They were yelling my name when I went to the stadium. That made me feel pretty good. And so it is that Auburn's personal touch - and perhaps a dash of national exposure - that has the Tigers well on their way to a big recruiting year. Auburn already has 10 players committed to sign next February, an unusually high number for early October and the quickest start for coach Tommy Tuberville's staff in six years on the job. Tuberville credits his longevity and his tireless staff - rather than magazine covers - for Auburn securing players faster than ever as it moves toward Saturday's game at Arkansas. We've made good contacts and all the guys we've been recruiting we've been recruiting for three years, Tuberville said. You build relationships through camps and players coming to games. But it is a less-than-perfect, cut-throat business. Fellow SEC schools are suggesting Auburn could be investigated for what former coach Terry Bowden has recently said about the program, though the likelihood of that happening is virtually non-existent. __ RollTideFan - The University of Alabama Athletics Discussion List Welcome to RollTideFan! [RollTideFan] Ladies, we care about you (non-Bama)
This is a public service announcement. We want all of our ladies to be healthy. Fellatio may significantly decrease risk of breast cancer (AP) -- Women who perform the act of fellatio on a regular basis, one to two times a week, may reduce their risk of breast cancer by up to 40 percent, a North Carolina State University study found. Doctors had never suspected a link between the act of fellatio and breast cancer, but new research being performed at North Carolina State University is starting to suggest that there could be an important link between the two. In a study of over 15,000 women suspected of having performed regular fellatio over the past ten years, the researchers found that those actually having performed the act regularly, one to two times a week, had a lower occurrence of breast cancer than those who had not. There was no increased risk, however, for those who did not regularly perform. I think it removes the last shade of doubt that fellatio is actually a healthy act, said Dr. B.J. Sooner of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, who was not involved in the research. I am surprised by these findings, but am also excited that the researchers may have discovered a relatively easy way to lower the occurrence of breast cancer in women. The University researchers stressed that, though breast cancer is relatively uncommon, any steps taken to reduce the risk would be a wise decision. Only with regular performance will your chances be reduced, so I encourage all women out there to make fellatio an important part of their daily routine, said Dr. Inserta Shafteer, one of the researchers at the University. Since the emergence of the research, I try to fellate at least once every other night to reduce my chances. The study is reported in Friday's Journal of Medical Research. In 1991, 43,582 women died of breast cancer, as reported by the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Len Lictepeen, deputy chief medical officer for the American Cancer Society, said women should not overlook or play down these findings. This will hopefully change women's practice and patterns, resulting in a severe drop in the future number of cases, Lictepeen said. Sooner said the research shows no increase in the risk of breast cancer in those who are, for whatever reason, not able to fellate regularly. There's definitely fertile ground for more research. Many have stepped forward to volunteer for related research now in the planning stages, he said. Almost every woman is, at some point, going to perform the act of fellatio, but it is the frequency at which this event occurs that makes the difference, say researchers. The research consisted of two groups, 6,246 women ages 25 to 45 who had performed fellatio on a regular basis over the past five to ten years, and 9,728 women who had not. The group of women who had performed fellatio had a breast cancer rate of 1.9 percent and the group who had not had a breast cancer rate of 10.4 percent. The findings do suggest that there are other causes for breast cancer besides the absence of regular fellatio, Shafteer said. It's a cause, not THE cause. http://www4.ncsu.edu/~brwilli2/cnn.html __ RollTideFan - The University of Alabama Athletics Discussion List Welcome to RollTideFan! Wear a cup! [RollTideFan] Wendell Hudson - AAD
So when did Hudson come onboard as the Associate AD? I completely missed this announcement. I am very excited about the addition of Wendell Hudson to our Athletic Department as Associate Athletic Director. I truly believe that this is a fantastic hire by Mal Moore for so many different reasons. It is really exciting that Wendell has returned to his alma mater and he is very capable of bringing a lot to the table in regard to the Athletic Department. For most of you who do not know, Wendell has served as the Athletic Director at McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas and has done an outstanding job. Wendell was the first African-American student athlete here at the University of Alabama and was a pioneer in so many different ways for our Athletic Department. I also believe that it gives our student athletes in all sports a role model for a position within this Athletic Department knowing that there are opportunities for minorities here in the University of Alabamas Athletic Department. Wendell will have oversight of mens and womens basketball along with helping with raising the necessary funds for our Crimson Tradition Fund. I dont think there is any question that Wendell will be a tremendous asset in numerous ways to our University. ~ http://www.markgottfried.com/message.htm ROLL TIDE!! [RollTideFan] Home Alone......
Well, here we are. Or better yet, here I am. It appears I am alone on this message list. No one cares enough to post anything even slightly related to Bama football. Slef's Prozac must be working. Are people in the don't say anything and maybe it will go away mode? All the joy and expectations that we had early in the season have met a rather grim reality. We all made jokes and hee hawed when we talked about CMS getting a bonus for winning 7 games this season. Only 7 games and that's all? Heck, we picked 7 'sure' wins on our schedule and figured that an 8-5 or even a 9-4 season was at a minimum, obtainable. Granted, the QB situation was a surprise to all. But still, to win 7 games at Bama and THAT be considered reason for a bonus? At Bama Maybe we are in a wait and see mode. Waiting to see if BA does start and can the D survive yet another HuGe challenge? Waiting to see if BC starts and then holding our collective breath every time he drops back to pass. Worrying if the kicking game can get any worse. Wondering that, even if Bama does win tomorrow, will the joy and expectations come back. A win over USM is not a reason to celebrate is it? I mean, this is Bama football we're talking here. We are supposed to win this game. A win is simply fulfilling the standard requirements of Alabama football. But now I wonder if a win is more of a whew, glad we were able to squeak by attitude than we beat the hell outta you attitude? A loss would only pour more salt in the wounds that were opened when Fran left us high and dry. A win may only get our hopes up that we can salvage the rest of the season with a miracle performance by a team plagued with injuries and no depth. Seems kinda ironic that the University decided to not allow the playing of Rammer Jammer until the end of the game. The only band I've been hearing after the game has been the opponent's band. And I for one am getting sick and tired of walking down that gerbil trail while the other team's fan celebrate. Depression, man, nothing but Bama football depression. I'll be so glad when the 2003 season is over along with the post season sanctions AND the recruiting restrictions. Maybe then things will start to get back to normal. It's a crying shame I tell ya, a crying shame. ROLL TIDE!! Rick Joel Perry wrote: Well, here we are. [RollTideFan] Funny Joke
Maybe y'all have seen this one, either way it made me laugh...enjoy... ~~~ A state trooper pulls a car over for speeding. In the car is an old lady who is hard of hearing and her husband. When the trooper asks the lady for her driver's license the lady responds, Heh, what did he say?? The old man speaks up as he says, HE NEEDS YOUR DRIVER'S LICENSE. A few minutes later the trooper comes back to the car and says, Ma'am I see you're from Florida. The old lady comments, Heh, what did he say?? The old man speaks up as he says, HE SEES YOU'RE FROM FLORIDA. The old lady nods her head, Yup. The trooper mutters, Boy, one time, I got the worst piece of ass I ever had in Florida. The old lady replies, Heh, what did he say?? The old man yells, HE SAYS HE THINKS HE KNOWS YOU! :) ROLL TIDE!! ROTFLMAO! I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. - Thomas Alva Edison (1847-1931) - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, October 10, 2003 9:23 AM Subject: [RollTideFan] TGIF Groaner (Non) Subject: Military Retirement Bonus The pentagon recently found it had too many generals and offered an early retirement bonus.
