Frankly, I am sure Rodney is handling this as an
adult and he doesn't
necessarily want to be treated with kid gloves but
those who are
requesting inside information just because Rodney
and Dalton run this
site are being ridiculous. Why should Brandon be
treated any differently
than anyone else? By that I mean that we don't have
a right to know why
Brandon is no longer on the team any more than we
had a right to know
why Brooks is not on the team. These are internal
team things and should
not be open to the public. Heck man, I don't even
tell parents of my
11-12 year old soccer team every time I discipline
their child for
something they may do at practice that is out of
line.

Discipline is a necessary part of a program.
Suspensions are a corollary
to discipline.
I can assure you that the AU director of fooball
operations wasn't using
profanity and racial slurs at a player because he
just made the Dean's
list. But, that is not the appropriate manner in
which to handle
discipline, clearly.
On the other hand, I have had to suspend children
in my household. I
am pretty open about it to my clrcle of friends, but
I don't think I
would be inclined to post the details on TI, if you
get my drift.
This appears to be a sign of trouble. I suggest
that the absence of
suspensions would be a sign of a bigger problem with
the program.
It is unfortunate it happens, but, if properly
dispensed, it is for the
betterment of the player and the team.

All players, Tide and otherwise should be treated
the same respect. You
will be allowed to say about Brandon whatever you'd
be allowed to say
about any other Tide player. I removed some threads
on the subject as an
easy way to remove all of the well-meaning but angry
replies.
I know no more than any of you about the matter, but
I am certainly more
disappointed. Brandon is a good kid, with far more
potential than he
realizes.
